TOP 100 Startups award ceremony

The TOP 100 Swiss Startup Award celebrates its first 10 years in 2021 and presents some impressive numbers: 438 Swiss deep tech start-ups created 11,100 new jobs and raised CHF 6.1 billion in the last decade. The organisation shines the spotlight on some of Switzerland’s most promising start-ups.

Investors, business representatives and start-up founders alike always mark this day in their agenda: The TOP 100 Swiss Startup Award night is a must in the Swiss start-up scene and has been coined the ‘Swiss start-up Oscars ceremony’. With the introduction of the TOP 100 ranking of the most promising start-ups in Switzerland back in 2011, a true benchmark platform was born.

Jordi Montserrat, co-initiator of the TOP 100 ranking, explains:

It is said that it takes 10 years to become a good investor, so this is an excellent time to look back at what the TOP 100 has become after a decade. The TOP 100 Swiss Startup Award started as a one-evening award ceremony in 2011 with the ambition to promote the strengths and diversity of Swiss start-ups when they did not enjoy the visibility and recognition they deserve.

The platform comprises a full range of activities to support the Swiss start-ups selected by the jury: the award night is a highly anticipated networking event where the best start-ups are crowned, an Investor Summit attracts international investors, and the ‘Scale-up Ranking’ focuses on start-ups that are older than five years. In addition, regional investor pitches and satellite events are held throughout the year, and the annual TOP 100 Swiss Startup Magazine is available in four languages and is distributed in Switzerland and abroad.
